Welcome to the 'Release' Collection
The last two years have been odd to say the least. Isolation, loneliness, feelings of being trapped, and the list goes on. We have had to quickly adapt to a new world, and that new world looks a little different for every one of us.
With summer upon us and things turning around I felt implored to create a new body of work that brought about excitement, hope and light.
From the beauty of a wave breaking over ocean reef, to the peace that can be found in the stillness of a coastal beach, every one of these new pieces explores the places and emotions of letting go. It is the gift of a deep inhale and exhale after being held down for so long.

Where It Began.
This collection began with a need for change. With everything going on around us, the weight of worldly issues was pressing down, and I began to feel a sense of despair and hopelessness in all that was happening around me.
I knew it was time to dig deep, to look for that hope and light that we all have within ourselves, the place where all good things come from.
And so, this collection represents that part of us that sometimes needs a little help being released.
It began with wandering the coastline, putting away the phone and having some quality me time. Between Tofino, Ucluelet and Southern Vancouver Island, this series showcases a number of scenes inspired by those timeless days, enjoying the waves, the skies and the trees of this beautiful coast.

A Note about the Paintings
Now, the moment you've all been waiting for! Below, I have listed out each of the 11 paintings in the series. Below each painting is a title, size & medium, and last is the price.
You'll also notice that none of the paintings are framed. Don't fret! For those of you who love my frames, there will be an option when you go to purchase to include a frame in the final price. Frames will be made upon order and will range from $80 for the smallest, to $160 for the largest paintings, each frame is hand made by yours truly.

A huge thank you is in order to all of you, and the people who have helped me pull this collection together. From the fine folks at ANIAN Mfg who were kind enough to open up their retail shop in Victoria, BC to host a live painting session and sell my work, to the talented Photographers (@bcrobby, @krisjonnes, @miguelrodriguez) who allowed me to use their photos as inspiration for the pieces in this series and all of the others who let me work in their spaces, Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
